Watch Our New Video: Thrive 101
Thrive Scholars receive six years of comprehensive support from their junior year in high school to early career – including two years of one-on-one career coaching.
But it’s never one-size-fits-all.
We drive our proven program through three industry tracks that target key inflection points to deliver the impressive results our Scholars want.
Refined over 20 years, our program is proven to work. Our Scholars get into Top Colleges, earn better grades, and graduate to find success at leading companies.
But our program is rigorous, not rigid. Each Scholar’s path to success will be their own.
From the mentors they’re matched with to the rigorous college-level classes they take to the career skills they develop — our high-touch model is tailored to the specific needs and ambitions of each Scholar.

By investing early in high-achieving students of color before college and supporting them during college, our program ensures a robust future talent pipeline of exceptional Black, Latinx, and other underrepresented students – who graduate ready to excel in careers in engineering, law, banking, medicine, consulting, academia, media, and more.
Our corporate partners identify rising talent and make connections that give them a competitive edge when hiring. And our Scholars launch extraordinary careers.
Carnegie Mellon University, Class of 2014
I am proud to say that I am a product and direct beneficiary of Thrive Scholars. Without their financial support and mentorship, I would not have had access to the opportunities I have been provided. Today, I’m pursuing my Master of Science in Public Policy and Management at Carnegie Mellon University on a full ride scholarship, and look forward to the day when I can give back to an organization that has invested so much in me.

To bring much-needed diversity to the legal profession, Thrive Scholars is partnering with many of the country’s leading law firms to create a Thrive Scholars Law Track.
Today only 2% of equity partners at top law firms are Black. And only 3% are Latinx.
The numbers get worse at top law schools. Fewer than 400 Black and 600 Latinx students graduate from Top 20 Law Schools each year — out of over 6000 total graduates. That’s less than half of what we’d expect to reflect our country’s diversity.
We invest early in high-achieving students of color with an interest in a career in law. By preparing them before college and supporting them during college, we ensure they graduate college with the grades needed to get into top law schools.
Along the way, we connect Scholars to lawyers who serve as professional mentors, fueling Scholar interest in the law and growing their professional network.
Our program ensures more diversity at the nation’s top law schools. And that means, a more robust talent pipeline of exceptional Black and Latinx future employees ready to excel at leading law firms.
From a Scholar’s junior year of high school through law school, we work with our law firm partners to provide Law Track Scholars with our full range of support, tailored specifically for law. As a result, our Scholars don’t just get hired at law firms — they thrive, advancing successfully as attorneys.
By investing early, partner firms are able to identify rising talent and make personal connections that later give them a competitive edge in recruiting top-tier diverse employees.

The Thrive Community is a rare space where diverse individuals can find a supportive community to pursue opportunities usually reserved for the social and economic elites. My legal career has taken me to international law firms, African governments, and the heights of the federal judiciary. Though the legal profession can be daunting, it is also a sphere where you can impact individuals and systems in a uniquely powerful way.

Science. Technology. Engineering. Mathematics. Jobs in these fields are high paying – and in demand. So where is the diversity?
To bring much-needed diversity to STEM-related professions, Thrive Scholars is launching a new STEM Track to support high-achieving students of color who have a passion for STEM subjects.
By investing early in students with a passion for STEM before college and supporting them during college, our program ensures Scholars graduate with the grades and career skills needed to excel at leading technology firms, life sciences companies, research institutions, medical schools, and more.
Along the way, we connect these high-achieving, motivated Scholars with STEM professional mentors who help fuel their interest in STEM and develop their professional network.
