Thrive Scholars is currently supporting over 550 students attending high schools and universities all over the country and has an alumni network of over 1,100 Scholars, many of whom still remain active participants in the program. Here, you can meet just a few of our Scholars.

Christian attended Harvard at 16 and Harvard Medical School at 20. Years ago, a chief resident told him that if he finished, he would be the youngest Harvard trained neurosurgeon in history. He graduated on June 12th of this year.

Karen graduated from Princeton University with a degree in Biology and received her Ph.D. from the University of Florida. She is now a tenure track professor at the University of Colorado Boulder — where only 2% of tenured professors are Black.
Oscar received his undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Swarthmore College in 2016 and is currently a PhD student in Computational and Applied Mathematics at Rice University. He is a recipient of the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship and a finalist for the NPSC Graduate Fellowship.
Henry attended Harvard Medical School. He is founder and CEO of the Genesis Hospitalist Medical Group, the largest private practice hospitalist group at Cedars Sinai. He’s also CEO of a medical group in West Hollywood where he cares for underserved populations.
Forrest graduated from Yale with a degree in Political Science. Since then, he has worked in renewable energy finance, most recently serving as Director of Corporate Development at Solar Philippines. Previously, he was a private equity investor at Ares Management. He began his career as an investment banker at BofA Merrill Lynch.
Maybelline is a UC Berkeley alumna and a NYU trained lawyer, where she was an AnBryce Scholar and the Editor-in-Chief of the NYU Law Review.  She is currently an attorney at O’Melveny & Myers LLP in Los Angeles, CA.  She was a federal district law clerk in the US District Court of New Jersey and more recently, a federal appellate law clerk in the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
Nancy is a graduate of Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and is a Fulbright Scholar. She is currently a Strategy & Analytics Consultant with Deloitte Consulting, delivering strategic data science capabilities to both public and private sector clients.
Antonio graduated from Yale with a B.A. in Relgious Studies and received his J.D. from UC Berkeley. He clerked for the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. He was Fulbright Scholar in Lilongwe, Malawi and has worked at two global law firms.


Godwin graduated from Brown with a degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering. He started his career at Goldman Sachs and is now as Senior Data Science Analyst at Capital Group.
